From our Arieana Notebook: In addition to his own show career and influence as a racing sire, Haat Shaat+ also made his regal presence known as an exceptionally prepotent sire and grandsire of Class A Show and Sport Horses, passing on his thrilling trot and athletic conformation. Haapey Pico (Haat Shaat x Jolley Pico by Rahmoun), nearest the camera, with Haat Rhod (Haat Shaat x Ceri by Ibn Sultan) looking on, display for the camera at the 1983 World Symposium on Crabbet Breeding. This pair were especially chosen and hand-selected to represent the finest available of Crabbet breeding as it descends to us today through the Maynesboro Stud and Hearst Ranch breeding programs. We are indeed gratified that Haat Shaat+'s influence will continue to be strongly felt in future generations when the presence and influence of our own exciting double great grandson of Haat Shaat+ and future herd sire Haat Pursuit comes forth to carry on the Haat Shaat+ legacy and the associated traditions of his Old California/CMK Heritage.
