From our Arieana Notebook: This beautiful and stylish straight Davenport son of *Muson was highly regarded for his natural aptitude for working cattle as well as his exceptionally good temperament. It was noted that he could even be ridden anywhere with just a halter with lead rope. Letan was part of a group of six horses purchased from Mr. Fred E. Lewis II in 1925 by Mr. W.K. Kellogg as foundation stock for his ranch in Pomona, California. Letan, ridden at one time by Teddy Roosevelt, also appeared as the mount of the famous American cowboy humorist, Will Rogers, in the Hollywood movie A Texas Steer released in 1928.
